Jealousy

JEALOUSY    [phrag dog] What is jealousy?  It is a highly perturbed state of mind associated with aversion-hatred which is unable to bear other's excellences by being overly attached to gain and honor.  Its function is to make the mind unhappy and not to allow one to feel happy. It is a highly perturbed mind which is unable to bear excellences of others because of its attachment to wealth and honor.

This brings about, both here and in the next world, great unpleasantness.  In this life there is unhappiness, and, in the next one, one will be thrown into evil forms of existences.
